THE IDEA
Learning from the Disney Heroines
I made a children’s non-fiction book that describes talents and positive attributes the Disney heroines have. (For example, in Disney's Tangled, Rapunzel says she charts the stars. In my book, Rapunzel teaches her readers about astronomy.) The book is directed mainly at elementary school-aged girls. My goal is that the book will help my young readers start setting goals and making plans for their future. Hopefully, they will have a new, better vision of the world and their place in it.

The idea for this book came from a tumblr post that had been pinned on pinterest. I loved the idea and pursued it. Thanks, miggylol for your inspired thought!
Creating this book was comprised of analyzing the movies, researching the topics, writing the pages, and getting it published. All told, it took about 18 months to complete.

I succeeded in creating a quality book geared specifically for young, female readers.
